The entire sweater was knit using a 5-ply (Angelic) yarn, and then the same bone color in 3-ply for the I-cord trim and crocheted buttons, for a very finished-looking finish.

To accomodate different sizes, the wide lace panels stay the same, and the narrow ribs between panels differ. For sizes 42-52, the purl rib is replaced by a lace cable. This is the cable pattern for size 44. (knit in Angelic smoke).

Scalloped lace panels that are separate on the bottom fold together toward the waist to form a natural flare. Pretty!

Finished Size: 33 (35, 37, 39, 41, 44, 48, 52)" chest circumference. Sweater shown measures 37", worn over a 36" bust.
Yarn: Sunday Knits 5-ply: 6 (6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8) 50-gm skeins and 1 20-gm skein.
Needles: Size 9 US, dpn size 4
Notions: Tapestry needle, #1 crochet hook, 6 half-inch buttons
Gauge: 16 sts and 23 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
