Southwest-inspired garter stripes form the main texture of this shawl, punctuated with a pretty staggered rib. We especially love the distinctive kite motif in the back! And notice how nicely it hugs the shoulders, making it really easy to wear.
The construction is unique. Kiteback is worked from outer tip to widest point, then circling inward to the very center, then back out, decreasing to the far tip. |
Loose strands from the color changes make up the fringe, so there's nothing to weave in later. I used a fringe twister to finish my fringe off, but you can simply knot the fringe ends, or finish them however you like. |
