Lovesee Road scarf

If you're like me, there's still someone on your list you'd like to knit something for, you're just not sure what.

Maybe this simple scarf ... it's classic, yet interesting, and could please a man as well as a woman, or a kid even.

A super-simple knit-purl stitch pattern is used to create a wide textured rib, with ribbed borders and slipped-stitch edges.

Sizes: Scarf is 9" wide and 72" long.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 5 ply Eden (100% merino), Nirvana (92% merino, 8% cashmere), Angelic (75% merino, 25% angora) or Brigadoon (100% merino tweed); (each blend has 137 yd /125 m to 1 oz / 50 g);
3 skeins. Shown in Nirvana rain.
Substitute any light worsted weight yarn: 415 yd.

Needles & Notions: Size 7/4.5 mm needles for scarf, 6/4.0 mm for ribbed border; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 20 sts = 4" / 10 cm in waffle rib stitch on larger needles.

Techniques used: Knit, purl, slip 1, cast on, bind off.
