Nepali Bird vest

Designed for Making No. 2 / FAUNA, Nepali Bird vest is covered with birds in relief.
I love the subtle, swirling damask their shapes create.

The vest is knit flat in one piece from the bottom up, with slant-shaped fronts, a bit of I-cord trim, and a Nehru-style lapel.

Make if long as shown in brown, or work the cropped version, as I did in my blue vest.

Sizes of finished vest: 30 (34, 38, 42.5, 47, 51, 55)". Wear with recommended ease of -3 to +1".
Shown on model in size 34 worn with 0 ease, and on dress form in size 36" (modified by working size 38 at a smaller gauge) also with 0 ease.

Yarn: 5 (6, 7, 8, 8, 9, 10) skeins Sunday Knits 5 ply (worsted weight - 137 yds / 125 m per 50g skein) in Nirvana (merino cashmere), Angelic (merino angora), Eden (merino), or Brigadoon (merino tweed). Shown in Nirvana earth and in Nirvana ocean in cropped version.
Substitute any worsted weight yarn that works nicely to gauge.

Needles & Notions: Size 7 US needles, also size 6 circs, size 5 and 7 dpn's; crochet hook in size 4
stitch markers, locking stitch markers, holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
