Slanted Gansey scarf

This gorgeous stitch pattern might look complicated, but it's really just an easy-peasy knit-purl pattern. Nothing to it!

I think it's because it's knit on the bias (increases along one edge and decreases along the other edge), that give the stitch pattern its dramatic dragon-scale appearance.

Oh, and another thing ... it's reversible!

Stats

Size: 80" long by 10" wide.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 3 ply yarn (light sport weight - 246 yds / 225 m per 50g skein) in any the following blends: Eden (merino), Angelic (merino angora), Brigadoon (merino tweed), and Nirvana (merino cashmere):
3 skeins. Substitute any light sport weight yarns that work nicely to gauge: 725 yds.

Needles & Notions: Needles size US 4 (3.5 mm) .

Gauge: 25 sts and 33 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch.

Techniques used: Knit, purl, kfb, M1-p, k2tog, p2tog.
