The raglan shaping is worked differently for the sleeves than for the sweater body, to assure a lovely fit in all sizes.

It's worked flat from the bottom up, and seamed.



Stats

Sizes of finished sweater: 40 (44, 48, 52, 56, 60)". Wear with recommended ease of 6-10". Shown in size 44 worn with 8" ease.

Yarn: 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10) skeins Sunday Knits sport weight yarns. Sample knit in Heaven (100% cashmere, 225 yds / 200 m per 50 gm skein), color smoke.

Substitute any sport weight yarn that creates a light open fabric when worked to gauge.

Gauge: 24 stitches and 32 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch, measured from the center of a large washed and dried swatch.

Needles & Notions: Needles size 5 US (3.75 mm) straight or circular needles for sweater and circular or double-pointed needles for neck, size 4 US (3.5 mm) for ribbing; cable needle, tapestry needle, scrap yarn.
