... the fronts and back are worked separately and seamed (I used an exposed-selvedge seam, which is explained in the instructions). The button/neck band is worked in with the fronts and continues to wrap around the back. Short rows shape the shoulders.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 5-ply Nirvana (92% merino 8% cashmere), Eden (100% merino), Angelic (75% merino 25% angora), or Brigadoon (100% merino tweed): 8 (8, 9, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) 50-gm skeins (shown in Eden lake).

Substitute any worsted-weight yarn that works to gauge.

Needles & Notions: Needles size 6 and 7 US (4.0 and 4.5 mm) straight or circular needles, cable needle or double pointed needle; tapestry needle, stitch markers, eight ¹¹/₁₆" (17 mm) buttons.

Gauge: 18 sts and 28 rows = 4" in seed stitch using larger needles. Measure gauge on washed and dried swatch.
