Tuesday's Child

I love sweaters that are classic and timeless, the kind of sweaters that never go out of fashion ... instant heirlooms.

Tuesday's Child is a classic cable and seed stitch cardigan, with a nicely whittled back waist ...

... a mitered neckband ...

... and tidy buttonholes.

The pretty cabled sleeves are set in ...

... the fronts and back are worked separately and seamed (I used an exposed-selvedge seam, which is explained in the instructions). The button/neck band is worked in with the fronts and continues to wrap around the back. Short rows shape the shoulders.
